Ariane Michellod Berney & Marie-Frédérique Lamy named Counsel

We are delighted to announce the nomination of Ariane Michellod Berney & Marie-Frédérique Lamy as Counsel with effect from January 1, 2025.

These nominations are part of a dynamic development of the firm’s cross-functional teams, to which they have contributed their expertise in their respective fields, their years of experience and their professionalism and rigor.

Ariane Michellod Berney joined the Inheritance and Estate Planning team in 2022, where she advises individuals and families on inheritance, Swiss and international estate planning and trusts. She is also active in the field of philanthropy and non-profit organizations. Admitted to the Geneva Bar in 2000, Michellod Berney also holds an LL.M in International and Comparative Law from the National University of Singapore and is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).

Since joining the firm in 2013, Marie-Frédérique Lamy has advised individuals, Swiss companies and multinationals in all matters relating to foreign nationals and nationality law. She has extensive experience in executive transfers, and has also developed a significant practice in advising high-net-worth individuals, particularly in connection with taking up residence in Switzerland. She has actively contributed to the development of these areas of activity within OBERSON ABELS SA, culminating in the creation of an Immigration team.

Marie-Frédérique Lamy studied at the Catholic University of Louvain and the University of Geneva (law degree), as well as at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
