“Legal Marathon 2024”: Jessica Salom and Philipp Fischer took part in the “Legal Marathon 2024” (Marathon du droit) organized by the Geneva Bar Association.

International tax law (Jessica Salom): Recent updates on the OECD’s Pillar 2, the entry into force of the Minimum Taxation Ordinance (OIMin), notable court cases from the past year, and key practice developments – such as the exclusion of taxes in a cost-plus – were on the agenda of this year’s module dedicated to international tax law.

Financial market regulations (Philipp Fischer): The regulatory response to the Credit Suisse breakdown, the Swiss Limited Qualified Investor Fund (L-QIF), the Swiss financial regulator’s views on the use of AI and the legal characterization of an insurance platform as a (to be regulated) insurance intermediary were some of the topics addressed in this module.
